| OFC has been having a great time playing in First Division. We've been keeping fit in the off season playing indoor at Bladium. We played at the Kelley Cup this summer ... injury central! But otherwise it was fun. Looking forward to fall soccer! |
| Oakland FC is a fairly new East Bay team that challenged into the second division of GGWSL in June 2008. Many of us enjoy a long history with GGWSL and have played on teams in the first through third divisions. We all have one thing in common--little free time! We want to play fun, competitive soccer, but can't commit to a team with weeknight practices. Many of us already play on multiple teams each week and some of us are mothers or students who find it hard to break away, so this is an ideal scenario for us. We play in tournaments like the Kelly Cup, GGWSL 7-a-Side, Sally Games, etc. We have an experienced coach who is also our keeper, an experienced team manager, and three elected captains who keep things organized and fun! |
